If Jennifer Mackovjak quit working tomorrow, she’d already have a fantastic investigative career under her belt. She worked as a senior detective investigator in the Manhattan DA’s office, before becoming a private investigator. She worked at Kroll, then became a senior VP for investigations at a big risk management firm. And over the years, she’s investigated wrongful convictions for the Innocence Project and Northwestern University’s Center for Wrongful Convictions.
In 2020, she co-founded 221B Partners, a private investigations and intelligence firm in Chicago. 221B handles pretty high-level work: litigation consulting, fraud investigations, business and public affairs intel, and threat intelligence. In this episode, we'll talk about Mackovjak's career trajectory and find out what threat intelligence and investigations are all about.
